South Jersey Progressive Dems Formalize Organization Structure - Kate Delany Elected President12/2/2019
Collingswood municipal committee chair, Kate Delany, was elected President of the South Jersey Progressive Democrats at groups the reorganization meeting on Monday, December 2nd. Also elected were: Vice President - Katie Ingersoll, Collingswood Treasurer - Patrick Mooney, Medford Secretary - Rena Margulis, Cherry Hill Membership Director - Linda Rubiano, Pennsauken Communications Director - Kristen Affrime, Cherry Hill Elections Director - Chris Emrich, Collingswood Organizing Director - Adam Sheridan, Berlin South Jersey Progressive Democrats (SJPD) began as a grassroots organization in 2017 and has grown to provide a well-organized countywide challenge to the Democratic machine candidates in 2019. The SJPD has built progressive coalitions across New Jersey. By holding formal elections and adopting bylaws, the group is positioning to continue the work of restoring democracy to New Jersey. Delaney had this to say following the meeting: “I am honored to have been elected to lead this organization forward in the fight to Take Back NJ.
