A Haddon Township resident for ten years. Renee is a local business owner and mother of one Rohrer Middle School teenager.
Renee believes that volunteering time & sweat equity is an important way to bring positive changes to a community. At the age of eight, she made her first call to borough hall to clean up a local waterway clogged with debris. Watching that clean up a week later taught her that sometimes it only takes one person to make a difference.
In 2012, along with a small group of driven neighbors, she helped found the Haddon Township Community Garden. The garden won first prize in the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society’s Community Greening Award its inaugural year. Starting the second year she started tending plots to donate fresh vegetables to the seniors in town. In 2016 she joined the Haddon Township Shade Tree Commission. While sometimes challenging, these volunteer positions are rewarding and offer the opportunity to work alongside neighbors to foster a sense of community pride and enrich the town.
She cares deeply about the environment, sustainable growth, government transparency, and representation for all voices. As a Democratic County Committee member in Haddon Township she will continue working as a team with the town governance to make progressive changes in Haddon Township.
